Il Prospect of Whitby, all’epoca gestito da Club Vacanze, aveva di buono solo il cibo! Per il resto le stanze erano grandi ma spoglie, la spiaggia era inaccessibile poiché piena di moscerini che ci massacravano di punture a tutte le ore del giorno, gli indigeni erano maleducati e le stanze all’ora di pranzo non erano ancora sistemate: più d’una volta abbiamo trovato la cameriera che dormiva tranquillamente sulla nostra sdraio sotto il nostro patio.....
Il responsabile diving, Diego, era bravo, gentile e disponibile ma, purtroppo, Vacanze lo aveva lasciato da solo al resort e quindi potevamo fare una sola immersione al giorno, perché lui doveva anche occuparsi dei corsi......
Le immersioni, ai Caraibi, non valgono molto in quanto il pesce scarseggia parecchio, però i coralli sono belli.
La temperatura dell’acqua era di circa 30°.

The Prospect of Whitby, at that time was managed by Club Vacanze, it was uncomfortable: the room’s were big but bare, it was impossible to stay on the beach because of all the sand flies. The natives were rude and lazy: every day, when we got back from diving, the room maid was lying on our deckchair and the room had not been made up….
Only the cuisine was excellent.
Diego, the diving manager, was very nice and good one but Club Vacanze left him alone!!!
We did just one dive a day because he had to make the diving courses…..
Diving was not great because in the Caribbean Sea there are few fish but the corals are good.
